Piano Room was inspired by a photo a friend sent me of an empty conservatory room and my love for hearing my mom play the piano. The windows were so beautiful in the photo and I knew I wanted to use them as the start of this drawing. I also thought this room would be perfect for a piano, especially with the black and white tile floor. Built-in bookcases and back staircases have always been a favorite of mine, so it only made sense that I fit them in somehow. This was the first piece in my interiors series. I really enjoyed making all the decisions about color, texture, pattern, and decorations.
