My grandmother, affectionately called Mimi, loves all things blue and white, and passed that love on to me. I also have fun memories with family and friends at the beach. Therefore, it only made sense to use this as a starting point for Mimi’s Cottage by the Sea. This drawing started with a staircase and really came together as I added details like the wallpaper, ocean scene out the back windows, and the flowers outside of the staircase windows.
